Lou Belcher has always had a passion for writing and is the co-author of two books as well as the author of numerous magazine articles. In addition, Belcher wrote monthly content for gohamptonroads.com and for eldercare.com, and she was a book reviewer for the Virginian Pilot newspaper
Now, she is a freelance writer/editor.
She is currently working on a novel that “probably will never see the light of day” and writing two nonfiction books that probably will. In the arts arena, she writes a monthly column for Brevard Live Magazine about Florida artists from Brevard County.
Belcher’s passion for photography has been simmering for more than a decade. It blossomed once she moved to Florida, and she made more time to study it and devote herself to it. Currently, her favorite subjects are landscapes, seascapes, nature, and architecture. She enjoys working with close-up photography and letting the color and texture of her subjects take over.
Belcher concentrates on fabric art when she's not writing, editing, or out in the field with her camera. She loves creating scenes in lush fabrics, making use of textures and shading to bring them to life.
